Jonathan Mackey - NZWETA Manager
Jonathan is the Manager of NZWETA with a background in business specialising in finance, strategic planning and operational review. Contact Jonathan to discuss potential new courses and new course development.

Janet Bengree - Training Administrator
Janet provides enrolment and qualification reporting services handling all manner of enquiries during the course of the day. She is the main contact for all course/student enquiries and comes from a background in customer service, relationship management and events coordination.

Jacqui Roberts - Marketing Coordinator
Jacqui, in her marketing role, is responsible for overseeing the NZWETA website, training administration system and all promotional activity and materials. She also works with the NZWETA Manager to set the annual delivery programme and coordinates this with the training advisors.
Jacqui is also responsible for the financial management and management reporting for NZWETA.

Sarah Cresswell - Training Consultant
Sarah has been involved in the water industry for more than 14 years and specialises in swimming pool treatment and operations. She also provides training in our other qualifications through the delivery of mathematics and science topics. Sarah also has the role of being the project manager responsible for the quality control of all our qualifications and their moderation.

Bert Gray
Bert has more than 42 years experience in wastewater treatment, operation and management and provides training in wastewater treatment and all areas of reticulation. A "father figure" of water industry training, he is well known for his support of operational personnel throughout New Zealand.

Ian Couling
Ian has more than 29 years of experience to support his high training profile throughout New Zealand. His laboratory background is coupled with significant involvement in the resolution of water and wastewater operational issues. He also provides expert advice in swimming pool management and chaired the 2010 Standards committee on Pool water quality. Ian provides training in water and wastewater treatment, swimming pool treatment and operations, and reticulation operation, water quality sampling and testing, and quality assurance.

Russell Kean
Russell has an extensive background in instrumentation design, development, electronics and embedded systems. Previously he was a lecturer in the Software and Electronics Engineering Department of the Central Institute of Technology for 16 years, and more recently has been delivering the Process Control unit standards for Opus' Environmental Training Centre.

Nick van Looy
Nick has 20 years experience in the water and petroleum industry working in hazardous environments. He is a director in his own company, Pipevision Ltd. Nick is the principal trainer in the Confined Spaces and CCTV courses.

John Black
John has accumulated considerable experience with concrete pipes in a wide variety of sizes and applications from DN 225 sewers and stormwater pipes, to DN 1200 pressure mains, and up to DN 2100 gravity pipelines. He has been “Engineer to the Contract” for a number of challenging pipeline projects.
He brings a practical and pragmatic approach to pipeline design, installation and operational issues, and has developed a number of pipe condition assessment techniques for pipelines of all pipe materials, many of which can be applied to operational pipelines.

Hugh Ratsey
Hugh has worked in the water industry since graduation in 1998, principally working in the wastewater field. Hugh has undertaken a range of roles in the industry, from Team Leader for a team undertaking Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of treatment plants and pump stations, to environmental surveys, investigations, resource consent renewals and design. His area of specialisation is wastewater operations. Hugh joined Opus' Environmental Training Centre (ETC) in July 2010, providing training in wastewater treatment and reticulation, and consultancy services for treatment plant operation and maintenance.

Graeme Jackson
Graeme is a Senior Training Consultant for qualifications at National Certificate and Diploma levels in the Water Treatment and Reticulation Industry. He has more than 25 years experience in contracting, water treatment and production industry. Graeme also provides operational reviews of treatment plants and consults widely on all manner of operational, asset management and best practice matters.

Jonathan Morris
Jonathan is a Chartered Materials Engineer with substantial experiance of assessing utilities infrastructure and a doctorate on the development of a non-destructive testing technique. Jonathan's speciality in Opus is using condition-related information to meet asset management needs.
